WILSON PARK
1. Swimming pool diving boards need to be locked up
ROOT PARK
1. Picnic bench seats are torn off
2. Ask if the signs stating for public use, call the Parks
and Recreation Department is still valid since the public
now reserves each pavilion through the school.
ROUTH PARK
1. Shade trees on west end (possilby by the picnic tables)
2. Check on the trash cans
BUTTERFIELD PARK
1. Need railing on the pond pier
2. Picnic table needs fixed
3. Turn the softball field around so that it does not go down hill.
4. Level soccer field
5. Need to keep cars out of area west of the pond - need to check
with the schools.
6. What about the road between Apple tree Inn and Butterfield on
the east end? Will it get other people using it besides the
City Sanitation truck?
SWEETBRIAR PARK
1. Picnic tables are all torn up
2. Sign needs to be repainted
3. Need more playground equipment
LAKE FAYETTEVILLE BALLFIELDS
1. Beautify the parking created on the north end - put in railroad
ties. The additional parking area is definitely needed.
Could also put stoppers in and chat it.
2. Repaint the concession stand - and possibly dugouts
3. Need retaining wall from the sidewalk to the colvert up by
field #1
4. Need some baby swings
5. Add a sandpile in the fenced area for children
6. Paint the playground equipment
7. Need sign that if parents leave their children in the playground
area unattended, it is not the responsilibility of the. Park Dept.

8. Provide an area for warmups. Between the fields is getting
very dangerous.
LAKE FAYETTEVILLE BOAT DOCK
1. Need more dock stall area
2. After Polly leaves, need to have a thorough evaluation
3. Repaint the outside and inside of the office
4. Someday it might be wise to have the boat dock operator
live in the office.
LAKE FAYETTEVILLE NORTH SHORE SITE
1. Need to fix a drain for the muddy area by the southwest service
gate.
2. Gate needs repaired. (it has been ran into)
3. Repaint the picnic facilities
4. North fence is broken
5. Would a softball and/or soccer field be feasible in the area?
LAKE FAYETTEVILLE ENVIRONMENTAL CENTER
1. Need more chat leading up to the center.
2. Hal spoke of the possibility of the new CETA program
working at the center in the summer.
3. Need to fix the trails up.
4. Sliding door of the center needs replaced.
