MINUTES: Minutes were approved as mailed. BUSINESS: 1. American Legion Baseball Park: Tom Lavender from the American Legion presented the PRAB with the following tentative proposal for the Parks and Recreation Departments use of the American Legion Baseball Park: 20 to 50 year lease from the Legion to the City The Legion would expect the City to: Light the field General maintenance of the park Improvements on the bleachers To provide as much parking as possible Use of the field would give the Legion teams first priority. The PRAB decided to table the proposal until next meeting. Discussion was that the Board would need to lock the lease so that the Legion could not sell it to a third party. The Board also wanted to investigate wether CD money would be elligible in that area and also to be used on lease money. The Board recommended that a 50 year lease would be best. 2. Committee Reports: A. Washington Mountain: Dale Clark reported that the City purchased 17 acres of land at the bottom of Washington Mountain. With the CD money left over from the purchase of the land, development can hopefully be underway. The park also needs to be named. B.
