Ws. Broyles reparted that she had met with the Cwnsanity Adult Board. She
announced that Hr. Reif will meet with the Parks and Recreation Board urvul someone
from the Adult Center is elected. Vz. Reif and Mrs. Hhillock noted that the City had
completed arrangements wkh the Adult Ccenter concerning pa)ment of utilities. Fir. Reif
inquired as to when the Adult Center Budget would be due. He vas advised to have it
ready to submit at next month's meeting. '

of Arkansas Avenue. They proposed several suggestions of how the money should be used.
There was coma question as to thich city department mould be in charge of working out such
a program. Mr. Howe, Mrs, Broyles, and Fir. Thornsberry all met with the appearance
committee to discues the various proposals. It was decided that it would take some
futtber investigation. The opinion , however, vas that the building and grounds
department would be charged with operation of the Arkansas Avenue project.
SFiMMM POOL
Park Kruger reported that attendance at the City Pool was 6252 for the month of July.
Lashley to close the pool August 22nd. Mr. boebring seconded and the motion carried.
Mr. Clark announced the City's Recreation Program for the Summer will end this week.
Asbell, ho=wever, will remain open this week, and one extra week. Attendance 11as baen good
at all parks, except Jefferson, end Tennis has shown a great in^reasa in poau'ierity.

Pix. Clark Said that ober=n part had not had Lmueh attendance. The backstop
donated by 1v?vis is mp and a gaent deal of fill dirt has been dumred. Tte main noels

The budget Is in good a'nape except in the area of minor erevipat. The softball
program has put o drain on it. The ,'+,2000.00 for restrooza at the City Park has not
been used, but work Will vupposedly begin this fall.
BA PARK
Mr. Clark vas instructed to send a memo to Mr. Rm-e concerning the possibiSitg
of giving es for cutting to local cutters from VIA Park in a planned path and spot
clearing effort.
Mr. Lashley vas designated to set up a meeting with the 030 to discuss all aapacts
Of the East Fayetteville Project. Ths school, City, and Boys' Club statements of
policy are to be brought up at this weting.
