Others Present: Mark Krueger, Steve Winfield, Alex Smith.o� 'Lb I The meeting :ras brought to order by the Chairman, David Lashley. t:embers discussed being present at the City Board of Directors meeting to explain the budget. Two. representatives from Wiggins I:emorial Church ::ere present to ask that a light be placad at their basketball court. Mr. Howe had gotten a cost estimate for this light some time ago. The estimate was $3.75 a month. Mr. P,yan made a motion that a recommendation be made to the Board of Directors that a light be installed at the basketball court of Wiggins "iMorial Church and also at Oberman Par;. The motion was seconded by A:rs. Broyles and approved unanimously. These recom„tenda.tions were to be suggested separately but were both to be budgeted. These utilities are to be paid by the Parks and Recreation Department. There was a discussion. of the softball tea*.s for the S=mer. There are not enough lighted baseball parks for all teams to play. 'Ir. Clark said that he would talk to some of the participants to see if an"r of them, could play on Wednesday nights. Cirs. Broyles asked if the land behind Asbell School could be used per— i mar_ently for a baseball field and if the School could furnish the !and, could the City furnish the lights. :lrs. Broyles then suSZested the possibility of having more games Eoi-Eat the sar.:e time instead of trying to put in lights. '_embers discussed the possibility of getting the field at Oberman Park developed before Spring. There being no fiulthler business, the meeting; was adjourned at 2:15 P.I..
