Special Meeting
May 8, 1998 3 p.m.
MINUTES
Present were: Michael Thomas, Mark Burdette, Steve Singleton, Maury Roberts, Matt Lawrence, Louise
Schaper and guest, Charles Harwell.
This special meeting was called to discuss interlocal agreements for Ozarks Regional Library Systems
services. Springdale Public Library Board member, Charles Harwell spoke on issues, concerns, and needs
of his library. Louise Schaper reviewed the meeting she attended with Matt Lawrence and representatives
from Springdale Public Library and Rogers Public Library on May 5 at 1:30 p.m. in Springdale. She
outlined the list of needed ORLS services identified by Springdale, Fayetteville, and Rogers at that
meeting.
Concern was raised about a lack of FPL representatives to attend the ORLS Board meeting planned for
Friday, May 15 at 4:30 p.m. in Mountainburg. A decision was made td have Michael send an official
memo to Bill Moms, Chair, ORLS would be made noting that no one could attend and that the Board
desires to meet first with the Washington County Library Board.
No other decisions were made. The meeting adjourned at approximately 4:30 p.m.
