MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING
FRIDAY MARC8..20. 1998
10:30 p.m.
BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Thomas, Burdette, Singleton, Roberts,
Lawrence. Library personnel: Schaper.
1. Call to order: Thomas called to order, meeting requested
by Board member to review an aspect of Otwell Fund investments.
2. Action: The Bank of Fayetteville has been holding any
interest thrown off by the $500,000 Otwell Trust in a money
market or other accessable= instrument, rather than reinv-
esting with the whole fund. The Board agreed all interest
should be reinvested until further notice.
A motion to this effect was made by Roberts, seconded by
Singlethi.A1L voted aye, Burdette abstaining.
The Board asked Thomas to notify the Bank of Fayetteville.
3. Other: Schaper brought the Board up to date on the status
of City Administration in reference to architect selection
and other discussions on the Library Community Room proposal.
Other than an expresion of support, no action was taked.
4. ADJOURN: Burdette moved to adjourn, seconded by Lawrence.
