The Fayetteville Public Library Board met in regular session on
April 12,1949 at 7:00 p.m. in the Library rooms,Mr.Mcllhorter presiding.
Members present were Pdr.MolYhorter,Mrs.Vincenheller,Miss Vaulx,Mrs.Swertz,
Mr.Meriwether,Mr.Dykes,and Mr.McMillen.
The minutes for March 7 were read -and approved.
The Librarian's report showed a total circulation of 2202,an increase
of 94 over. the month before.The circulation for the corresponding month
in 1948 was 2169. .
The Treasurer's report showed a balance in the First National Bank
of $1274.28.
Mr.McWhorter reported that.at present nothing is being done by the
County Judge and the County Library Board with reference to thew county
library system.New board members have not been appointed to he County
Library Board.Hence for the time being there is nothing fors oard to do in
this matter.
It was voted that the sum of $200 be appropriated from the savings ac-
count to purchase books for the Lincoln School,the same committee as be-
fore to serve in the selection of the books.The Librarian was added to the
committee.
