August 10,1948
.It is noted that the regular June meeting did not have a quorum and that
the July meeting was not held.A regular meeting was held on August 10.A quo-
rum was not present.
Members present were Mr.McWhorter,Mrs.Vincenheller,Mr.Butler,and Mr.McMillen
The reports of the librarian were reviewed for June and July.
The resignation of Mrs.Ous Bryant was presented but not acted on.
Mrs.Vincenheller reported on possibilities for
a new librarian and
that
Mrs.Watson was willing to help
until one is found
to take Mrs.Bryanp's
place.
It was decided that Mr.McWhorter should consult with Mrs.Watson to make
temporary and permanent plans for the post of librarian.
The report of the treasurer was reviewed.

To the Board of Directors
Public Library:
This is to inform you of my resignation
effective not later than October 1, 1948.
It is with deep regret that I leave the
Library, but I do wish to express my appreciation
for the splendid cooperation and help of the
entire Board. Also I appreciate having had the
opportunity to work for and with the Library
patrons. Especially have I enjoyed working with
the children.
