The July meeting of the Library Board was held at 17:00 p.111. on

The minutes of the June meeting were read and approved.
The Librarian16 report was read and ordered filed.';be total circu-
lation was 1921,an increase of 120 over the preceding month. The circu-
lation for the corresponding month of 1946 was 2296.
The T'reasurer's report, presented by irlrs.Vinceniieller, showed a taalance
in the First National Bank of 41079.81. The report is filed with these

The speci�ll committee appointed to investigate the possibilities of
findin,g some person to succeed i1r6.1'iatson as Librarian made a report to
the effect that the persons interviewed declined the offer or were un-
able to consider it at present.
In view of the fact that the Board will not be meeting in jazgust and
further in view of the urgency of the matter of securing a librarian,
it was voted to empower the president of the Board to hire one who in
his opinion would be suitable for the position.'Phe name of l;trs.Gus Bryant
was suggested by i.:r.ivieriwether; and the Secretary was instructed to get
in touch with her.
