The regular session of the Library Loard was held on April 311947
at 7:00 P.fa7.,r!tr.t c7uhortor presiding,
idembers present: Ir.Talc'lhorter,itrs.Vincenneller,I+Irs.5wartz,irlrs.Hichard-
son, Dr.i4eriwether,Mr. butler, and r,ir.blciaillen.
The Librarian's report showed. an increased circulation over the pre-
ceeding month of one hundred and over the corresponding month last year
of two hundred books.
Pho Librarian's summary,dealing with such subjects as the aegional
Library meeting,inter-library loans,and the colored -school library books,
,vas read and is filed with these minutes.
Upon the recommendation of the Librarian in her summary report it was.
voted to investigate the cost of a telephone for the Library,the committee,
composed of Mr.Butler and the Board Chairman,t-o report at the next meeting.
The Treasurer's report,read by IMrs.Vincenheller,shoived a balance in the
First National Bank of yA 576.99.
The Budget Committee presented a proposed budget with detailed receipts
V and expenditures totaling w3679.90 for the present year.1t was voted to
adopt this budget as now presented.
It was voted to give two weeks vacation with pay to Mrs.'iiatson and
Miss Hill,
