'!!he Library Isoard held its regular monthly rieeting on February 11,1947,

The minutes of regular January meeting,of the annual meeting of the
Association,and of the organizational meeting of the board were read and
approved.
The regular and special reports of the Librarian were read end accepted.
It Yas voted to approve the recommendations of the Librarian concerning; the
us9 fines on overdue books and the purchase of the numbers of Current Biog-
raphy since 1940.
ie;rs.Vincenheller.read the T'reasurer's report,which is filed. with the
minutes,
mrs.Sviartz reported that the 2 'P A Study Group,fifty women,:net in the
Library on February o from 9:15 to 1200. One of them became a patron of
the Library.

fAiss Vaulx read an interesting historical account of the activities
of the Library that she had presented to the Board in 1936.1t dealt with
the struggles of the Library from its inception in 1910" to the ,year 1936.
It was voted that the Book Committee select twenty-five dollars worth
of childrenfs books to donate to the Negro school,the amount to be taken
from the current funds.It was further voted that Ivfrs.Watson would consult
idiss Dawkins and !Hiss Brown of the Negro school to see what the book needs
of the school are.
