October, 8,1946
The Library Board met in regular session on October 8,1946 with
Nr.PdciYhorter in the chair.
:Aembers present were iL4r.t�Ici'ihorter.icIrs.Vincenheller,iviss Vaulx,
i4rs.Richardson,Mr.Butler, and Mr.lvlcMillen.
Since there was not a quorurAat the September meeting of the Board,
there were no minutes to read.
The special committee appointed to interview hiss Mary Ellen Hill
in order to secure her services for the Library reported. that she had
accepted the Boardis offer and was now at work.
The Treasureris report was read and ordered filed.
The Librarian's report was read and is filed with these minutes.
Dr.E.B.Meriwether was unanimously elected to membership on the
Library Board to fill the term left vacant by Dr.Roy Basler.
The whole matter of what should constitute a quorum for the Board
was raised,but action was postponed until some future time.
