The Library Board held its regular monthly meeting on July 9,1946
at 7:00 P.M.with Mr.IvlcWhorter in the chair.
Members present were Mr.McWhorter,Tulrs.Vincenheller,Miss Vaulx,
Mrs.Richardson,and 1vlr.McMillen.
The minutes for May 14,May 20,and June 11 were read and approved:
The Librarian's report was read and ordered filed.
It was voted to appropriate $50 for vacation salary for Miss Holcombe,
who has served one ,year without the usual two weekd vacation with pay.
It was further voted to instruct the Secretary to write Miss Holcombe
a letter of appreciation for her services to the Library.
The Treasurer's report was read and ordered filed.
It was voted to close the Library daily at 5:00 P.M.henceforth.
As a result of the Board's discussion of the matter of a successor
to Miss Holcombe,it was decided that Miss Vaulx should interview Miss Sims,
that MrsoRichardson should see Miss Shipley and Mrs.Dan Hoyt,and that
Mr.McMillen should approach Mrs.Adkisson with the'purboseaofr:seeing whether
any one of these persons might be interested in becoming Librarian.
