HomeMy WebLinkAbout1945-03-13 MinutesThe Library presented to the Women's Lounge a framed picture --a colorful landscape, which was cordially received. The gift was duly acknowledged by the Chamber of Commerce. A very generous collection of books was given us by Mrs. C. F. Armistead. Most of the volumes have already been put to use. The March circulation of I916 was greater, by 75,than the circulation for March, I944. Please ask all friends of the Library to keep in mind the fact that we desire to add to the small collection of local history material which we now have. Surely there are many books, letters, documents and relics, including pictures, relating to the past history of Fayetteville and its early citizens. If such things are deposited in our Library, we can build up an interesting local museum. A shelf has been assigned to the Child Study Club. While their books are being selected and ordered, we have put at their disposal half a dozen books from our collection, so that the members can begin using the Library. ,1
