S. , Chai nnan 7-3-36 be the mutual agreement between the City Administration Building Committee and the Committee representing the Fayetteville Public Library : (I) The agreed housing space for the Fayetteville Public Library is to be approximately the south half of the second floor of the City Administration Building, under agreed readjustments Obligation of Party of the First Part : (a) The present stainray leading to the second floor is to be repaired, re -decorated, and readjusted to Library patronage conveniences (b) The present hall -may leading from the stairway to the pro- posed Library quarters is to be re -decorated and a closed par- tition, about 8 feet high with grill above, is to be built as the west wall to the hallway, thus - separating the hallway from the proposed large room on the north half of the second floor (c) A substantial suitably closed -partition is to be built along the third tier of pillars, from the south, which partition 1's to separate the second floor into north and south room divisions (d) The present offices and classroom along the east wall of the south half of the second floor, are to be re -decorated and adjusted to Library needs, thus providing a Librarianst office, a stock and repair room, toilets both for men and women, and a conference, or committee room (e) The remaining part of the south room on the second floor, is to be repaired, re -decorated, and adjusted to the needs of Library shelving and reading -table floor spaces (f) Heat, light, water, and general janitorial services are to be provided at City Government expense The foregoing repairs, decoration, and re -adjustments are all to be in approved and workmanship manner and the maintenance of the Library quarters are to be in accordance with standard customs under regular rental contract. All of the foregoing is to be the ob),igation of the City in exchange for the City�s annual 0300 appropriation to the Library fund, as rental money, Obligation of Party of the Second Part s The Library Board of 16Aagers accepts the foregoing conditions and assumes responsibilities as follows': (a).To provide shelving, tables, chairs, and other similar equipment essential to the book -shelving and to the operation of the City Library (b) To provide and maintain a Librarian, or Librarians, helpers, and special janitorial service (o) To continue and increase Library accessions, strive to awaken greater interest in the Library, and to sponsor such activities as may increase the efficiency of the Fayetteville Library (d) To put forth its best efforts to maintain and increase the volunteer financial support of the.Fayetteville Public Library to the end that the City Government, the people at large, and the Library Board of Managers shall have fostered an institution worthy of a City which has in its midst the States greatest Educational Institution, .Read and approved s. to ) oe� Secreta rYA Library Board y� COMMITTEE s Laura J.
