AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS
The Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas met in Special Session at
6:30 p.m., March 31 , 2009 at the Fayetteville Housing Authority office, # 1 North School
Ave., Fayetteville, AR
I. Olivia Horn, Chairperson called the meeting to order at approximately 6:30
p.m.
Commissioners Present: Olivia Horn, Beautiful Gibson, Hugh Earnest and
Mark Kinion
Commissioners Absent: Leon Jones, Jr.
Others Present: Fredia Sawin (Fayetteville Housing Authority) and
R.J. Stidham (R.J. Stidham & Associates)
H. Mr. Horn advised that this special meeting was called for the board to be
clear on the proper usage of Housing Authority funds and how they could
be used to purchase 7.5 acres of property adjacent to Morgan Manor. The
time was then turned over to Mr. Stidham who reviewed these guidelines
with the board. Questions and comments were made by the board and
then Mr. Earnest motioned that an all day session be planned for Saturday,
April 18, 2009 at the Senior Center located in Walker Park, Fayetteville,
AR, seconded by Ms. Gibson and carried unanimously. At this meeting a
final decision will be made as to the purchase of this property.
There being no further business, meeting was adjourned.
