HOUSING AUTHORITY OF
THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS
The Housing Authority of The City of Fayetteville, Arkansas met in Regular Session at
6:00pm, Thursday, December 18, 2014, in the City Administration Building Room #111.
Mike Emery, Chairperson, called the meeting to order at approximately 6:00 pm.
Commissioners Present: Mike Emery, Matthew Cabe, Leon Jones, Jr., and Chris Terry
Commissioners Absent: Carma Unruh
Others Present: Fredia Sawin and Deniece Smiley (Fayetteville Housing Authority), and
Chris White
Unfinished Business: There was none.
New Business:
A. Approval of Minutes of Previous Regular Board Meeting— no corrections or
Changes were made to the November 20", 2014 Regular Meeting Minutes—
The minutes were approved as presented.
B. Approval of November 2014 Financial Statements — No changes were made
And the Board approved unanimously.
C. Approval of Resolution # 1004 —Approving The Transition of the Deputy
Executive Director into the Position of the Executive Director. Matthew Cabe
Made the motion to accept Resolution # 1004 and the motion was seconded

D. Approval of Resolution # 1005 —Updating Fayetteville Housing Authority Public
Housing Flat Rent Policy— Based on HUD's New Regulations. Chris Terry made
The motion to accept Resolution# 1005 and the motion was seconded by Matthew
Cabe.
E. Approval of Resolution# 1006 —Adopting New Guidelines for the Violence
Against Women Act in the Public Housing Program. Matthew Cabe made the motion
To accept Resolution #1006 and the motion was seconded by Chris Terry.
F. Election of New Board Member— Five Year Term to Serve From 12/28/2014
To 12/28/2019. The applications, Chris Terry and Chris White were interviewed and
Prior to the announcement of the accepted applicant, Commissioner Leon Jones, Jr.
Verbally announced his resignation from the board. Chris White was elected to fill the
Remainder of the term of Commissioner Jones which is ending in December 28, 2017. Chris Terry

G. Executive Director's Report — Deniece Smiley reviewed her written report.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned until the next scheduled regular boar
