HomeMy WebLinkAbout2014-09-25 - Minutes - ArchiveMINUTES OF THE SEPTEMBER 25, 2014 REGULAR MEETING OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS The Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas met in Regular Session at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, September 25, 2014, in the City Administration Building Room #111. , Matthew Cabe, Chairperson, called the meeting to order at approximately 6:05 pm. Commissioners Present: Matthew Cabe, Mike Emery, and Christopher Terry Commissioners Absent: Leon Jones, Jr. and Carma Unruh Others Present: Fredia Sawin and Deniece Smiley (Fayetteville Housing Authority), Jacob Nielson and Larry Clay with CLEAResult. The agenda for the meeting was rearranged to accommodate the guest speakers as well as to take up unfinished old business. NEW BUSINESS F. Presentation from CLEAResult Program Consultants in Reference to the Energy Savings Opportunities from The Electric and Gas Utilities — Jacob Nielson and Larry Clay with CLEAResult presented information regarding the savings programs that are available to all Southwestern Electric Power and Source Gas Residential and Commercial Customers. A. Approval of Minutes of Previous Regular Board Meeting — No corrections or changes were made to the August 23, 2014 Regular Meeting Minutes — The Board approved unanimously. B. Approval of August 2014 Financial Statements — August 2014 Financial Statements were reviewed and The Board approved unanimously. C. Approval of Resolution 4998 — To Void Checks from Fayetteville Housing Authority Funds Outstanding over Six Months from Date of Issuance — Mike Emery made the motion to accept Resolution #998 and Christopher Terry seconded. D. Approval of Resolution #999 — Approving the Charge Off OF Delinquent Accounts of Former Tenants for Periods 06/01/2014 to 09/30/2014 — Mike Emery made the motion to accept Resolution #999 and Christopher Terry seconded. E. Approval of Resolution # 1000 — Authorizing the Charge Off Of Certain Non - Expendable Equipment That Was Junked — Mike Emery made the motion to accept Resolution # 1000 and Chris Terry seconded it. G. Executive Director's Report — Fredia Sawin reviewed her written report. OLD BUSINESS A. Executive Director and Deputy Executive Director Evaluation. Remarks were made by Matthew Cabe that the present evaluation process would be changed and that he hadn't received any comments from the other Commissioners regarding the performance of the Executive Director and Deputy Executive Director. His personal perception would be to rate their performance at 4.9 out of 5 with direction for Deputy Director to take on more projects. He stated that he considered the Housing Authority to be in good shape with pursuits of the EPC and RAD programs. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned until the next scheduled Regular Board Meeting on October 25, 2014.
