AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS
The Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas met in Special Session at
3:00 p.m., August 15, 2012 in the City Administration Building, Room 111, Fayetteville,
AR.
Commissioners Present: Olivia Horn, Hugh Earnest and Jon Edwards
Commissioners Absent: Leon Jones, Jr. and Matthew Cabe
Others Present: Fredia Sawin (Fayetteville Housing Authority),
Steve Clark, Steve Craig, Steve Ficklin and Ron
(S. E. Clark & Associates), David Conyers (Guest
Reddick) and Brian Teague (Community by Design)
I. Hugh Earnest, Vice -Chairman called the meeting to order at approximately
3:00 p.m.
A. Meeting was held for best use of Lewis Plaza property with the
topography issues and ADFA minimum design qualifications. After
the special meeting the Lewis Plaza design team took a tour of the site.
Mr. Clark will attend the regular meeting on August 23, 2012 to
present a new proposal to the board.
B. Mr. Clark updated the board on the Morgan Manor units and due to the
fact that they are still in the PIC system, HUD will not allow any going
forward to build additional units. Mr. Earnest agreed to talk to
Congressman Womack to see if there is anything else the Housing
Authority can do to expedite the process.
There being no further business, meeting was adjourned until the next scheduled Regular
Meeting, August 23, 2012 at 6:00 p.m.
