HOUSING AUTHORITY OF
THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS
The Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas met in Regular Session at
6:00 p.m., July 28, 2011, in the City Administration Building, Room 111, Fayetteville,
AR.
Leon Jones, Jr., Chairman called the meeting to order at approximately 6:00 p.m.
Commissioners Present: Leon Jones, Jr., Hugh Earnest and
Matthew Cabe
Commissioners Absent: Brittany Kendrick and Olivia Hom
Others Present: Fredia Sawin and Laura Higgins (Fayetteville Housing
Authority)
Old Business
None
New Business
A. Approval of Minutes of Previous Regular Meeting -No corrections or changes to
the June 23, 2011 Regular Meeting Minutes and the board approved unanimously.
B. Approval of June 2011 Financial Statements -No corrections or changes to the
June 2011 Financial Statements and the board approved unanimously.
C. Approval of Resolution No. 906 Adopting Revised Section 8 Voucher
Administrative Plan -Mr. Earnest motioned to accept Resolution No. 906,
seconded by Mr. Cabe and carried unanimously.
D. Approval of Resolution No. 907 Adopting Revised Public Housing Occupancy
Policy and Dwelling Lease -Mr. Earnest motioned to accept Resolution No. 907,
seconded by Mr. Cabe and carried unanimously.
E. Approval of Resolution No. 908 Approving FY2012 Public Housing Operating
Budget -Mr. Earnest motioned to table this resolution until the next regular
meeting scheduled for August 25, 2011, seconded by Mr. Cabe and carred
unanimously.
F. Approval of Resolution No. 909 Accepting Partners for Better Housing Loan
Request -Mr. Cabe motioned to accept Resolution No. 909, seconded by Mr.
Earnest and carried unanimously.
G. Executive Directors Report -Ms. Sawin reviewed her written report. Ms. Sawin
reminded the board that David Land from Lindsey & Company will be meeting
with them concerning the budget on August 24, 2011. As soon as the time and
location is arranged Ms. Sawin will let the board know. The board agreed to
Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. to conduct their tour of the public
housing sites.
There being no further business, meeting was adjourned until the next scheduled Regular
Meeting on August 25, 2011 at 6:00 p.m.
