The Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas met in Regular Session at
5:30 p.m., November 18, 2008, in the City Administration Building, Room 326,
Fayetteville, AR. I i
Olivia Horn, Chairperson called the meeting to order at approximately 5:30 p.m.

A. Approval of Minutes of Previous Annual Meeting -Mr. Kiniori motioned to accept
the October 21, 2008 Annual Minutes, seconded by Ms. Olsen and carried
unanimously.
B. Approval of October 2008 Financial Statements -Mr. Kinion motioned to remove
the October 2008 Financial Statements from the agenda until the final draft is
received to approve, seconded by Mr. Earnest and carred unanimously. Ms.
Sawin also advised that she had talked with Mr. Land's secretary from Lindsey
and Company. She will get with him upon his return and contact Ms: Sawin with
a date when he can make a presentation to the board. Ms. Sawin will advise the
board as soon as she has a date. i
C. Approval of Resolution #828 -Authorizing the Submission of Section 8
Management Assessment Program (SEMAP) Certification for Fiscal Year Ending
9/30/08 -Ms. Sawin explained that these two reports (SEMAP and PHAS) are
annual reports required by the Dept. of Housing and Urban Development and are
used to calculate the Housing Authority's yearly scores for Section 8 Rental
Assistance and the Public Housing Programs. Mr. Kinion and the other board
members commended Ms. Sawin and her staff on a job well done. Ms. Olsen
motioned to accept Resolution #828, seconded by Mr. Earnest and carried
unanimously.
D. Approval of Resolution #829 -Authorizing the Submission of Public Housing
Management Assessment Program (PHAS) Certification for Fiscal Year Ending
9/30/08 -Mr. Kinion motioned to accept Resolution #829, seconded by Ms. Olsen
and carried unanimously.
E. Executive Directors Report -Ms. Sawin reviewed her report. Ms. Sawin
announced the annual Public Housing Christmas party which is scheduled for
Monday, December 15, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. and will be located at the Hillcrest
Towers building. Ms. Sawin invited the entire board to attend. Ms. Sawin
reported that the National NAHRO meeting was very informative and passed out
handouts for the board's review.
There being no further business, meeting was adjourned.
