HOUSING AUTHORITY OF
THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS
The Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas met in Annual Session at
5:30 p.m., October 21, 2008, in the City Administration Building, Room 326,
Fayetteville, AR.
Olivia Horn, Chairperson called the meeting to order at approximately 5:30 p.m. ,
Commissioners Present: Hugh Earnest, Deborah Olsen, Olivia Horn,
Leon Jones, Jr. and Mark Kinion

Others Present: Fredia Sawin and Laura Higgins (Fayetteville
Housing Authority)

Approval of Minutes of Previous Regular Meeting -Mr. Kinion motioned to accept
the September 16, 2008 Regular Minutes, seconded by Mr. Earnest and carried
unanimously.
Approval of September 2008 Financial Statements -Financial Statements were
reviewed by the board. Mr. Earnest then motioned to accept the September 2008
Financial Statements, seconded by Mr. Kinion and carried unanimously.
Approval of Resolution #827 -Approval of Public Housing Operating Budget for
Fiscal Year 2009 -Budget was reviewed by the board and questions asked. Mr.
Earnest requested that David Land from Lindsey and Company come and address
the board on possibly changing the format of the budget. Ms. Sawin will contact
Mr. Land, make the arrangements and notify the board.
Election of Chairperson and Vice Chairperson for Term 10/21/2008 to
10/20/2009 -Mr. Earnest motioned to nominate Olivia Horn to continue as
Chairperson, seconded by Mr. Kinion and carried unanimously. Mr. Kinion
motioned to nominate Hugh Earnest to continue as Vice Chairperson, seconded
by,Ms. Olsen and carried unanimously. i
Executive Directors Report -Ms. Sawin reviewed her written report.
being no further, business, meeting was adjourned.
