Ms. Watson updated the board concerning the monthly residence

Maintenance Supervisor) attended the last meeting. He answered
lots of questions and impressed upon the tenants to call the
office if they need maintenance to ask for a work order. Also
attending was a speaker from the Ambulance Service with good
information on reasonable insurance for elderly and disabled
people since medicare and medicaid has cut their allowance for
ambulance costs dramatically. Resident Meetings are scheduled to
meet on the third Tuesday of each month at 2:00 p.m.
Ms. Richardson stated that she has attended a resident's meeting
and she commends Ms. Watson on her great job and the meeting is
well attended.
Ms. Richardson brought to the attention of the board the request
from Lifestyles to change the policy of the Housing Authority
which governs what a family is. Has anyone given it a thought?
We need to lay it to rest one way or the other.
Ms. Watson mentioned that we have exhausted our investigation and
may need to bring Mr. Hart back to explain to her our reasoning
for our decision. We cannot have guidelines for the Section 8
program without changing the guidelines for the Public Housing.
