OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE. ARKANSAS
The Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville.
Arkansas met in Regular Session at 8:00 a.m.. Wednesday
December 19th, 2001 in the office of the Authority #1
North School Ave., Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Janet Richardson. Chairperson, called the meeting to
order.
Commissioners Present: Richardson. Childress. Garton
Commissioners Absent: Clinehens, Watson
Others Present: Bromo Wilson & Fredia Sawin
The Minutes of the November 21st, 2001 Regular Meeting were
approved by motion, seconded, and carried unanimously.
The November Financial Statement was approved by motion,
seconded, and carried unanimously.
Mr. Garton asked that the commissioners receive a detailed
Financial Statement which breaks down the subsidy and
e xpenses in next months meeting packet. This will help
to better understand this statement when reviewing it.
Janet Richardson was re-elected as commissioner to serve a
five year term that will end 12/28/06.
Mr. Wilson explained to the commissioners the basics of
a HUD Reac annual inspection. The inspection occurs after
our fiscal year end of 9/30/01. The inspector schedules
two days one for Morgan Manor and another for Hillcrest,
L ewis and Willow. He will inspect a sample of apartments
according to the number of units and buildings on each site.
H e failed three smoke alarms which were fixed before he left.
All safety failed items must be fixed within twenty four
hours. This same organization does not inspect our Section
8 Rental Assistance units. Section 8 units are inspected
by Kyra McCown. Laura Higgins as the Director will
inspect a certain percentage for quality control.
Chairman and Vice Chairman will he elected in January 2002
Board Meeting.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
