OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE. ARKANSAS
The Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville,
Arkansas met in Regular Session at 8:00 A.M. Tuesday
April 17, 2001 in the office of the Authority #1
North School. Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Janet Richardson, Chairperson, called the meeting to
order.
Commissioners Present: Richardson, Childress, Clinehens,
Watson
Commissioners Absent: Duggan
Others Present: Bromo Wilson, Freciia Sawin
The Minutes of the March 27, 2001 Regular Meeting were
approved by motion, seconded, and carried unanimously.
The March Financial Statement was approved by motion,
seconded, and carried unanimously.
Mr. Wilson updated the board on the current comp grant
funds for the Hillcrest Towers windows, etc. The target
date to present a contract will be June, 2001.
Ms. Watson brought to the boards attention that the current
Director of the Adult Center, Betty Turner, will be retiring
within a few months. After further discussion. it was
unanimously decided that Pat Watson will design a plaque
to be presented to Ms. Turner and the Fayetteville Housing
will pay the cost.
Mr. Richardson inquired as to the recent newspaper
article concerning the Community Service program for
Public Housing and the problems other Housing Authorities
are having administering it. Mr. Wilson and Ms. Sawin,
discussed with the hoard, as to what this Community Service
program entailed and some of the consequences.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
