MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE. ARKANSAS
The Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville.
Arkansas met in Regular Session at 8:00 A.M. Wednesday
May 21st. 1997 in the office of the Authority #1
North School, Fayetteville. Arkansas.
Charles Clinehens. Chairperson, called the meeting to
order.
Commissioners Present: Clinehens, Childress,
Fries, Richardson, Hudspeth
Commissioners Absent: None
Others Present: Bromo Wilson, Fredia Sawin
The Minutes of the April 16, 1997 Regular Meeting were
approved by motion, seconded. and carried unanimously.
The April Financial Statement was approved by motion,
seconded, and carried unanimously.
Mr. Charles Clinehens initiated conversation to the board
in response to an inquiry by Mr. William Knight as to
whether the Fayetteville Housing Authority should apply
for additional Section 8 certificates designated for the
handicapp individuals. Mr. Wilson presented a tenant
occupancy report which showed a needs assessment as to
t he Section 8 program and the Public Housing. After
extensive discussion. it was determined that at this
t ime there was not enough need to warrant applying for
t hese extra units. The board asked that a letter be
d rafted thanking Mr. Knight for his interest and the
reasons why we would not be applying.
There being no further business, the meeting was
adjourned.
