RE: 1996 COMPREHENSIVE GRANT PROGRAM (CGP) AR37P09770496 BID
Dear Bromo:
After reviewing the bids for the 1996 CGP, we have determined that it would be in the best
interest of the Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville to reject botb bids and re -bid
the project. The bid by Craig Electric exceeds the budget, and the bid by Nathaniel Saine
Construction Co., Inc. is too low to be reasonable. After comparing it with our cost
estimate and discussing it with the Contractor, it is apparent that they were not bidding on
the full scope of the work as outlined in the plans and specifications, and they have
requested to withdraw their bid. I have included a Bid Tabulation and a list of parties
excluded from Federal Procurement, which does not list either Bidder. I am also including
a letter for you to send to each Contractor along with their Bid Bond.
Sincerely,
Randy Hoeschen, AICP
