M. Wednesday, February 15, 1995 in the office of the Authority 111 North School, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Dan Hudspeth, Chairperson, Commissioners Present: Commissioners Absent: called the meeting to order. Hudspeth, Childress, Clinehens, Fries Richardson Others Present: Bromo Wilson, Fredia Sawin The Minutes of the January 18, 1995 Regular Meeting were approved by motion, seconded, and carried unanimously. The January Financial Statement was approved by motion, seconded, and carried unanimously. RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGES TO THE CONTINUED OCCUPANCY POLICY FOR THE FAYETTEVILLE HOUSING AUTHORITY PUBLIC HOUSING PROGRAM. Resolution No. 571 was approved by motion, seconded, and carried unanimously. Mr. Wilson announced that Bid Openings for The Comp Grant will be held on February 21st, 1995. He should be able to acknowledge who the Contractor will be at the next Regular meeting for March, 1995. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned. J 7/ RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGES TO THE CONTINUED OCCUPANCY POLICY FOR THE FAYETTEVILLE HOUSING AUTHORITY PUBLIC HOUSING PROGRAM WHEREAS, the Fayetteville Housing Authority wishes to amend the Continued Occupancy Policy to include the HUD Nearly Elderly rule. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE FAYETTEVILLE HOUSING AUTHORITY, that the attached changes be made to the Continued Occupancy Policy and will be effective immediately. ti PASSED AND APPROVED THIS / ✓ DAY OF 95 • ATTEST.. -J CRETARY Y�1(�L,.� • THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANS CHAIRPERSON • • • The following are changes to be made to the Continued Occupancy Policy for the Fayetteville Housing Authority Public Housing. Section I (10) A Near -Elderly family defined as a family whose head or spouse (or sole member) is at least 55 years of age but below the age of 62 years Section I Item E: Order of Preference number 5 will be changed as follows. The Fayetteville Housing Authority will extend a preference to Elderly Families (including disabled personas and handicapped persons), Near Elderly Families and displaced persons over single persons. Section IV Item E: Definition of Terms Used in this Statement of Policies Number 25. Near -Elderly Family - A Family whose head or spouse (or sole member) is at lease 55 years of age but below the age of 62 years.
