MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS
The Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas met
at 8:oo A.M. September 26, 1990, in the office of the Authority
Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Clarence Fries, chairperson called the meeting to order
Upon Roll Call, the following members were present:
Commissioners Present: Richardson, Fries, Morgan
Commissioners Absent: Windham, Hudspeth

The Minutes of the June 20, 1990 Regular Meeting, were approved
and carried unanimously.
The Financial Statement for June, July and August were approved
and carried unanimously.

RESOLUTION TO CHARGE OFF DELINQUENT ACCOUNTS FOR FORMER TENANTS. Resolution No. 509 ,
was approved by motion, seconded, and carried unanimously.
RESOLUTION TO CHARGE OFF CERTAIN NON-EXPENDIABLE EQUIPMENT JUNKED. Resolution No. 510,
was approved by motion, seconded, and carried unanimously.
RESOLUTION TO REVISE THE SECTION 8 CERTIFICATES PROGRAM'S ADMINISTRATIVE PLAN AND/OR
OCCUPANCY POLICY OF THE PUBLIC HOUSING OF THE FAYETTEVILLE HOUSING AUTHORITY AS TO
THE ELIGIBILITY OF THE ADMISSION TO PUBLIC AND ASSISTED HOUSING BY SINGLE PREGNANT
APPLICANTS AND OTHERS AS DEFINED UNDER "FAMILIAL STATUS° OF THE FAIR HOUSING
AMENDMENTS ACT OF 1988. Resolution No. 511, was approved by motion, seconded,
and carried unanimously.
RESOLUTION APPROVING ANNUAL SALARY INCREASES. Resolution No. 512, was approved by
motion, seconded, and carried unanimously.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.

RESOLUTION NO. 509
RESOLUTION TO CHARGE OFF DELINQUENT ACCOUNTS OF FORMER TENANTS FOR
PERIOD 04/01/90 - 09/30/90
A.resolution of the Board of commissioners of the Fayetteville Housing
Authority authorizing the charge off of delinquent accounts of certain
former tenants in the AR 97-1 & 2 Housing Projects for period of April 1,
1990 through September 30, 1990.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Accounting Handbook RHM 7510.0, Chapter
3, Section 13, certain past due accounts in the AR 97-1 & 2 Low Rent Public
Housing projects are considered uncollectable and all means of collections
have been exhausted, and there is no reasonable prospect of collections of
such delinquent rents and that the probable cost of further efforts to
collect said rents would not be warranted.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE HOUSING
AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS THAT:
Accounts in the amount designated, due from the former tenants listed on
the attached sheets are hereby authorized to be charged off.

• RESOLUTION NO. 510
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE WRITE -OFF OF CERTAIN NON -EXPENDABLE EQUIPMENT THAT
WAS LOST, STOLEN, DESTROYED OR JUNKED.
WHEREAS, the HUD Manual 7510.1 provides for the write off of certain non -expendable
equipment that is lost, stolen, destroyed or junked, and
WHEREAS, the most recent list of equipment that has been declared not in working
order and non -repairable and has been junked and or stolen needs to be
written off.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS, that the attached list of equipment be .
written off the property ledger of the Fayetteville Housing Authority.

PLAN AND / OR OCCUPANCY POLICY OF THE PUBLIC HOUSING OF THE FAYETTEVILLE

"FAMILIAL STATUS" OF THE FAIR. HOUSING AMENDMENTS ACT OF 1988.

WHEREAS,:the Fair Housing Amendments Act of 1988 amended Title VIII
of the Civil Rights Act of 1968 to prohibit discrimination in housing on
the basis of handicap and familial status.and.
WHEREAS, The Act provides that "the protections afforded against dis-'.•i
crimination on the basis of familial status shall apply to any person who
is pregnant or is in the process of securing legal custody of any individual
who has not attained the agre of 18 years." (42 U.S.C. Section 3602)
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
FAYETTEVILLE HOUSING AUTHORITY that the following administrative plan

WHEREAS, the approved budgets for the Housing Authority allows for salary
increases for certain personnel;
