OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS
The Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas met in Regular
Session at 8:oo A.M. Wednesday, October 26, 1988, in the office of the
Authority #1 North School, Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Dan Hudspeth, Chairman called the meeting to order.
Upon roll call, the following members were present:

Ray Gehl of Enginering Services, presented the two low bids for the Drainage
Improvements at Willow Heights and Morgan Manor listed below:
1. C.W. Construction Company, Route 7, Fayetteville
2. Jerry Sweetser Company, 590 Poplar, Fayetteville
$31,806.00

The contract for the Drainage Improvements was award to C.W. Construciton Co..
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR THE DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS AT
WILLOW HEIGHTS & MORGAN MANOR HOUSING SITES, ARK 97-1 & 2. Resolution No. 473
was approved by motion, seconded and carried unanimously.
The Minutes of the September 28, 1988 Regular Meeting were approved by motion,
seconded and carried unanimously.
The Financial Statement End of Fiscal Year was approved by motion, seconded and
carried unanimously.
The September Financial Statement was approved by motion, seconded and carried
unanimously.
Mr. Wilson, suggested that the Housing Authority make a donation to the Single
Parent Scholarship. The Commissioners agreed, there being no further business,
the meeting was adjourned.

WHEREAS, The Fayetteville Housing Authority received sealed bids on October 25,
1988 for Drainage Improvements to Willow Heights & Morgan Manor
Housing Sites, ARK 97-1 & 2, which bids have been opened, tabulated
and found to be in proper form and are listed below:
AND
1. C.W. Construction Company, Route 7, Fayetteville
2. Jerry Sweetser Company, 590 Poplar, Fayetteville
$31,806.00

WHEREAS, Engineering Services Inc have reviewed the bids, and recommends that
we accept the low bid of $31,806.00 from C.W. Construction Company
of Fayetteville, AR.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE FAYETTEVILLE
HOUSING AUTHORITY.
1. That the contract for Drainage Improvements to Willow Heights
and Morgan Manor be awarded to C.W. Construction Company,
Fayetteville, AR in amount of $31,806.00.
2. That Bromo Wilson, Executive Director of the Housing Authority
is hereby appointed to serve as contracting officer for the
project. The contracting officer is also delegated by the
Authority to execute any and all change orders (limited by the
policies, rules, and procedues as set forth by HUD) affecting
the contract.

Enclosed please find one (1) copy of the Certified Bid Tabulation of the
• bids received on October 25, 1988, for the drainage improvements at Morgan
Manor and Willow Heights.
The low bidder was C.W. Construction Co. of Fayetteville with a bid of
$31,806.00. The only other bidder was Jerry D. SweetGPr, Inc, with a bid of
$34,720.00.
C.W. Construction Co. is a local contractor and is capable of completing the
work. Therefore, it is our recxnendation that the Contract be awarded to
the low bidder, C.W. Construction Co
