MJNUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS
The Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas met in Regular
Session at 8:30 o'clock A.M. Wednesday May 20, 1987, in the library of
the Authority, #1 North School, Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Clarence Fries, Chairman called the meeting to order.
Upon roll call, the following members were present:
Commissioners Present: Richardson, Fries, Morgan, Windham, Hudspeth
Commissioners Absent: None
Others Present: Don Froning, Bromo Wilson, Toady Edwards
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR OFFICE EXPANSION AT HILLCREST
TOWERS, N1 NORTH SCHOOL, ARK 97-1 & 2. • Resolution No.445 ,low bid received
from Commerce, Inc. $41,196.00 was approved by motion, seconded and carried
unanimously.
The minutes of the April 10, 1987 Regular Meeting were approved by motion
seconded and carried unanimously.
The April Financial Statement was approved by motion, seconded and carried
unanimously.
Proposed Pet Policy.for Hillcrest Towers was reviewed, Mr. Windham suggested
adding a paragraph that stated the removal of the pet if tenant failed to
comply with the terms of the agreement. The proposed policy was approved by
motion seconded and carried unanimously.
There being no further business,the meeting was adjourned.

RESOLUTION NO. 445
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR OFFICE EXPANSION AT
HILLCREST TOWERS, #1 NORTH SCHOOL, ARK 97-1 E 2
WHEREAS, The Fayetteville Housing Authority received sealed bids on May 19, 1987
for the office expansion at Hillcrest Towers which bids have been opened,
tabulated and found to be in proper form and are listed below:
1. Commerce, Inc.
Jack Burge
Construction Co.
3. Hunnicutt Construction
Co., Inc.
$ 41,196.00
$ 46,440.00
$ 48,391.00
WHEREAS, Hailey-Powers-Froning Architects have reviewed the bids, and recommends
that we accept the low bid of $41,196.00 from Commerce, Inc. of
Springdale, AR.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE FAYETTEVILLE
HOUSING AUTHORITY.
1. That the contract for Office Expansion at Hillcrest Towers
be awarded to Commerce, Inc., Springdale, Arkansas in
amount of $41,196.00.
2. That Bromo Wilson, Executive Director of the Housing Authority
is hereby appointed to serve as contracting officer for the
project. The Contracting officer is also delegated by the
Authority to execute any and all change orders (limited by the
policies, rules, and procedures as set forth by HUD) affecting
the contract.
