MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY
OF THE CITY OF FAYETIEVILLE, ARKANSAS
The Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas met in Regular
Session at 8:30 o'clock A. M. Wednesday August 20, 1986, in the office of
the Authority, #1 North School, Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Dr. Fries, Vice Chairman called the meeting to order.
Upon roll call, the following members were present:
Commissioners Present: Fries, Windham, Morgan
Commissioners Absent: Richardson, Hudspeth
Others Present: Mrs. Reagan, Bromo Wilson, Toady Edwards
The minutes of the July 22, 1986 Regular Meetings were approved by motion,
seconded and carried unanimously.
The July Financial Statement was approved by motion, seconded and carried
unanimously.
RESOLUTION APPROVING TRAVEL TO ARK CHAPTER NAHRO FALL MEETING. Resolution
No. 429, the resolution was approved by motion seconded and carried unanimously.
• RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR INTERIOR PAINTING OF LEWIS
PLAZA & WILLOW HEIGHTS. Resolution No. 430 , the resolution was approved by
motion seconded and carried unanimously.
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR EXTERIOR PAINTING OF LEWIS
PLAZA & WILLOW HEIGHTS. Resolution No. 431, the resolution was approved by
motion seconded and carried unanimously .
Mrs. Reagan spoke to the Commissioners about her concern with the spraying of
the trees at Morgan Manor. The Housing Authority assured her that it had
discontinued the spraying for some time.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.

SEPTEMBER 17-19, 1986 AT HOT SPRINGS, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS; The Spring Meeting of Arkansas Chapter NAHRO will be held in
Hot Springs , Arkansas September 17-19, 1986 and,
WHEREAS, there will be programs and discussions concerning Public Housing
and Section 8 Housing that would benefit the Local Agency;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSIONERS OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS, that travel expenses for
personnel designated by the Executive Director be paid to this
meeting in accordance with the Agency's policy.

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR
INTERIOR PAINTING OF LEWIS PLAZA & WILLOW HEIGHTS
MODERNIZATION PROGRAM 903 - JOB #10
WHEREAS, the Fayetteville Housing Authority received sealed bids on
August 15, 1986 for INTERIOR painting of Lewis Plaza and Willow Heights,
which bids have been opened, tabulated, and found to be in proper form and,
WHEREAS, the bids are as follows:
1. Turner Gen. Const. - $19,015.00
2. Geels Paint Co. - $48,022.00
WHEREAS, the low bidder was Turner Gen. Const., Fayetteville,AAR,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
FAYETTEVILLE HOUSING AUTHORITY: • -
1. That the contract for INTERIOR painting Lewis Plaza
and Willow Heights be awarded to Turner Gen. Construction,
subject to HUD approved, in the amount of 19,015.00.
2. That Bromo Wilson, Executive Director of the Housing Authority,
is hereby appointed to serve as contracting officer for the
project. The contracting officer is also delegated by the
Authority to execute any and all change orders (limited by the
policies, rules, and procedures as set forth by HUD) affecting the
contract.

WHEREAS, the Fayetteville Housing Authority received sealed bids on
August 15, 1986 for EXTERIOR painting of Lewis Plaza and Willow Heights,
which bids have been opened, tabulated, and found to be in proper form and,
WHEREAS, the bids are as follows:
1. Turner Gen. Const. - 18,115.00
2. Geels Paint Co. - 28,548.00
WHEREAS,TtheLidw bidder.is Turner Gen. Const., Fayetteville, AR.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
FAYETTEVILLE HOUSING AUTHORITY:
1. That the contract for EXTERIOR painting Lewis Plaza and
Willow Heights be awarded to Turner Gen. Construction,
subject to HUD approved, in amount of 18,115.00.
2. That Bromo Wilson, Executive Director of the Housing Authority,
is hereby appointed to serve as contracting officer for the
project. The contracting officer is also delegated by the
Authority to execute andy and all chage orders (limited by the
policies, rules, and procedures as set forth by HUD) affecting
the contract.
