HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986-06-11 - Minutes - Archive• MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS The Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas met in Regular Session at 2:00 o'clock P.M. Wednesday, June 11, 1986, in the office of the Authority, #1 North School, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Mrs. Richardson, Chairman called the meeting to order. Upon roll call, the following members were present: Commissioners Present: Fries, Richardson, Hudspeth, Windham Commissioners Absent: Morgan Others Present: Jerry Martin, Bromo Wilson, Toady Edwards The minutes of the May 21, 1986 Regular Meeting were approved by motion, seconded and carried unanimously. The May Financial Statement was approved by motion, seconded and carried unanimously. RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF REVISION NO. 2 TO OPERATING BUDGET FOR ARK 97-1 & 2, 9/30/86. Resolution No. 424 , the resolution was • approved by motion seconded and carried unanimously. RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR INSTALLATION OF PARKING LOT AT HILLCREST TOWERS. Resolution No. 425 , the resolution was approved by motion, seconded and carried unanimously. • RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR REPLACEMENT OF ROOFS AT LEWIS PLAZA AND WILLOW HEIGHTS MODERNIZATION PROGRAM NO. 903. Resolution No.'424,'the resolution Was approved,by motion seconded and carried un- animously. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned. Be it Resolved by the Commissioners of the Public Housing Agency of the City of Fayetteville that: 1. The proposed expenditures are necessary in the efficient and operation of the housing agency for the purpose of servicing families. • 2. The financial plan is reasonable in that: a. It indicates.a source'of funding adequate to cover all proposed expenditures. economical. low -inane b. It does not provide for. use of Federal Funding in excess of that pay- able under the provision of 24 CFR 890, Subpart A. 3. Ail proposed rental charges and expenditures will be consistent with pro- visions of law and the Annual Contributions Contract. B. In7 TOR • • • RESOLUTION NO. 425 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR INSTALLATION OF PARKING LOT AT HILLCREST TOWERS WHEREAS, the Fayetteville Housing Authority received sealed bids on May 29, 1986 for Installation of Parking Lot at Hillcrest Towers, which bids have been opened, tabulated, and found to be in proper form and, WHEREAS, the bids are as follows: 1. Jerry Sweetser Inc, Fayetteville, AR 2. Harrison Davis Co. Fayetteville, AR $36,445.00 37,545,10 WHEREAS, the low bidder is Jerry Sweetser Inc., Fayetteville, AR. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, AR: PASSED AND ATTEST: 1. That the contract for Parking Lot Installation at Hillcrest Towers be awarded to Jerry Sweetser Inc. in the amount of $36,445.00 2. That Bromo Wilson, Executive Director of the Housing Authority, is hereby appointed to serve as contracting officer for the project. The contracting officer is also delegated by the Authority to execute any and all change orders (limited by the policies, rules, and procedures as set forth by HUD) affecting the contract. RESOLUTION NO, - 426 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR REPLACEMENT OF BUILT UP ROOFING 6 REPAIR OF DAMAGED SOFFIT, FASCIA F, SIDING AT LEWIS PLAZA F, WILLOW HEIGHTS MODERNIZATION PROGRAM NO.. 903 - JOB #8 WHEREAS, the Fayetteville Housing Authority received sealed bids on June 11, 1986 for Replacement of Built Up Roofing 6 Repair of Damaged Soffit, Fascia 6 Siding at Lewis Plaza and Willow Heights, which bids have been opened, tabulated, and found to be in proper form and, WHEREAS, the bids are as follows: 1.
