HomeMy WebLinkAbout1985-07-29 - Minutes - Archive• • • MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS The Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas met in Special session at 5:00 o'clock P.M. July 29, 1985, in the office of the Authority #1 North School Avenue, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Mr. Windham, Chairman, Called the meeting to order. Upon roll call, the following members were present: Commissioners Present: Windham, Fries, Richardson, Hudspeth Commissioners Absent: Morgan Others Present: Bromo Wilson The Commissioners met in a special session to consider the bids for modernization of the boiler system at Hillcrest Towers. Johnson Center's bid of $86,500 was the low of four bids submitted last week. A contract was awarded to the Johnson Center, subject to approval by the Housing of Urban Development There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned. ATTEST: THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, RKANSAS C"' IRMAN • RESOLUTION NO, 4 U g RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THF AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR BOILER MODERNIZATION AT HILLCREST TOV7ERS MODERNIZATION PROGRAM NO. 903 WI-EERFAS, the Fayetteville Housing Authority received sealed bids on July 24, 1985 for Modernization of Boiler System at Hillcrest Tbwers, which bids have been opened, tabulated, and found to be in proper form and; WHEREAS, the bids are as follows: 1. Johnson Center Fayetteville, AR 2. Mountain Mechanical Fayetteville, AR 3. Paschal Heating Springdale, AR 4. Heckathorn Const. Co. Fayetteville, AR $ 86,300.00 $ 91,990.00 $ '94,000.00 $ 123,777.00 WHEREAS, the low bidder is Johnson Center, Fayetteville, AR; • NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF FAYEaTEVILLE, AR: 1. That the contract for Modernization of Boiler System at Hillcrest Towers be awarded to Johnson Center, subject to HUD approval, in amount of $86,300.00. 2. That Bromo Wilson, Executive Director of the Housing Authority, is hereby appointed to serve as contracting officer for the project. The contracting offices is also delegated the Authority to execute any and all (limited by the policies, rules, and procedures as set forth by HUD) affecting the contract.
