HomeMy WebLinkAbout1985-03-27 - Minutes - ArchiveMINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY • OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS The Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas met .in Regular Session at 8:30 o'clock a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 1985, in the office of the Authority, #1 North School Avenue, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Mr. Windham, Chairman called the meeting to order. Upon roll call, the following members were present: Commissioners Present: Windham, Fries, Richardson, Hudspeth, Morgan Commissioners Absent: None Others Present: Bromo Wilson, Pat Donat, David Powers The minutes of the February 14, 1985 Regular Meeting were approved by motion, seconded and carried unanimously. The February Financial Statement was approved by motion, seconded and carried unanimously. RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE WRITE-OFF OF CERTAIN NON-EXPENDABEE-EQUIPMENT • LOST, DESTROYED, OR JUNKED. Resolution # 401. The resolution was approved by motion, seconded and carried. • RESOLUTION TO CHARGE OFF DELINQUENT ACCOUNTS OF FORMER TENANTS FOR PERIOD 9/30/84-3/31/85. Resolution # 402. The resolution was approved by motion, seconded and carried. David Powers, of Hailey, Powers and Fron,ing_ architectural firm discussed various methods of re -roofing the roofs at Lewis Plaza, Willow Heights and Hillcrest Towers under the modernization project. The commissioners decided to wait until other modernization projects are completed before taking any action on the re -roofing project. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned. WHEREAS, the HUD manual 7510.1 provides for the write-off of certain non -expendable equipment that is lost, destroyed or junked, and WHEREAS, the most recent list of equipment that has been declared not in working order and non -repairable and has been junked, needs to be written off NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYELTEVTTJE, ARKANSAS, that the following list of equipment be written off the property ledger of the Fayetteville Housing Authority. HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETPEVILLE, • RESOLUTION NO 402 RESOLUTION '10 CHARGE OFF DELINQUENT ACCOUNTS OF FORMER TENANTS FOR PERIOD 9/30/84 - 3/31/85 A Resolution of the Board of Caanissioners of the Fayetteville Housing Authority authorizing the charge off of delinquent accounts of certain former tenants in the ARK. 97-1 & 2 Housing Projects for period of October 1, 1984 thru March 31, 1985. WHEREAS, in accordance with the Accounting Handbook RHM 7510.0, Chapter 3, Section 13, certain past due accounts in the ARK. 97-1 & 2 Inw.Rent Public Housing projects are considered uncollectible and ail means of'collections have been exhausted; and_there,is no:reasonable.prospect of collection of suchdelinquent rents acid that the probable cost of further efforts to collect said rents would not be warranted; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETrEVIL E, ARKANSAS, THAT: Accounts in the amount designated, due frau the former tenants listed on the attached sheets are hereby authorized to be charged off.
