SUMMARY OF CHANGES IN SECTION 8
ADMINISTRATIVE PLAN
December 12, 1984
The Statement of Policy $ Procedure Governing The Section 8 Existing
Housing Program and The Administrative Plan have been revised to reflect
current rules and regulations.
A definition of Family has been included which is the same definition used
in Housing Occupancy Procedures. The income limits have been revised to
reflect the eligibility of only very low income families. Procedures for
rent adjustments because of change in income have been incorporated into the
plan. The criteria for determining the appropriate unit size has also been
added to the plan.
We have revised the draft copy and no longer call for a separate waiting
list for families currently living in Public Housing. The families who
live in Public Housing will be given last priority for assistance on the
Section 8 Program.
This is a summary of the major changes in the plan and this includes
those changes suggested by Little Rock HUD.
