HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-03-28 - Minutes - ArchiveMINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY • OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS The Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas met in Regular Session at 8:30 o'clock A.M., Wednesday, March 28, 1984 in the office of the Authority, #1 North School Avenue, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Mr. Seaton, Chairman, called the meeting to order. Upon roll call, the following members were present: Commissioners Present: Seaton, Shreve, Windham, Morgan Commissioners Absent: Endress Others Present: Bromo Wilson, Toady Edwards There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted: The minutes of the February 15, 1984 Regular Meeting was approved by motion, seconded and carried unanimously. The February Financial Statement was approved by motion, seconded and carried unanimously. • RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE WRITE-OFF OF CERTAIN NON -EXPENDABLE EQUIPMENT LOST, DESTROYED OR JUNKED. Resolution No. 384 , approved by motion, seconded and carried unanimously. RESOLUTION TO CHARGE OFF DELINQUENT ACCOUNTS 10/1/83-3/31/84. Resolution No. 385, approved by motion, seconded and carried unanimously. Election of Commissioner was tabled until April meeting. Election of Chairman and Vice Chairman was deferred until a Commissioner is named. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned. THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYET 1 VILLE, A 'NSAS • ATTEST: IRMAN • • RESOLUTION NO. 384 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE WRITE-OFF OF CERTAIN NON -EXPENDABLE EQUIPMENT LOST, DESTROYED, OR JUNKED. WHEREAS, the HUD manual 7510.1 provides for the write-off of certain non -expendable equipment that is lost, destroyed or junked, and WHEREAS, the most recent list of equipment that has been declared not in working order and non -repairable and has been junked, needs to be written off NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS, that the following list of equipment be written off the property ledger of the Fayetteville Housing Authority. (5) Five Frigidaire Refrigerators Model FD 123TN,•S/N #23A02233, #36A18210, #36A18236,#23A02214, #38A18347 @145.00 ea. (1) One General Electric Refrigerator Model TB125NB S/N #TM608522 (1) One Brown Gas Range S/N #19823 PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 28th • TOTAL DAY OF March 1984. 725.00 144.05 85.31 THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVIL_.', AR 954.36 RMAN • RESOLUTION NO. 385 RESOLUTION TO CHARGE OFF DELINQUENT ACCOUNTS 10/1/83-3/31/84 A Resolution of the Board of Commissioners of the Fayetteville Housing Authority authorizing the charge off of delinquent accounts of certain former tenants in the ARK 97-1 & 2 Housing Projects for period of October 1, 1983 thru March 31, 1984. WHEREAS, in accourance with the Accounting Handbook RHM 7510.0, Chapter 3, Section 13, certain past due accounts in the ARK 97-1 & 2 Low Rent Public Housing projects are considered uncollectable and all means of collections have been exhausted, and there is no resonable prospect of collection of such delinquent rents and that the probable cost of further efforts to collect said rents would not be warranted; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE HOUSING AOTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT: Accounts in the amount designated, due from the former tenants listed on the attached sheets are hereby authorized to be charged off.
