MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE HOUSING
AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARK
The Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas met in
Regular Session at 8:30 A.M. Wednesday, August 17, 1983 in the office
of the Authority, #1 North School Avenue, Fayetteville, Arkansas
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Lloyd Seaton and on
roll call the following members were present:
Commissioners: Lloyd Seaton, Robert Windham, Sherman Morgan.
Commissioners Absent: Judy Endress, Jim Shreve.
Others Present: Bromo Wilson, Secretary.
There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:
The minutes of the July 20th, 1983 Regular Meeting were approved
by motion, seconded and carried unanimously.
The July Financial Statement was approved by motion, seconded and
carried unanimously.
Resolution No. 374 RESOLUTION APPROVING A COMPREHENSIVE IMPROVEMENT
ASSISTANCE PROGRAM APPLICATION FOR ARK 97-1 was indtroduced by the
Chairman and after discussion, Commissioner Windham nnaveJL1 the
Resolution be adopted as introduced and read. The motion was seconded
by Commissioner Morgan and the resolution carried unanimously.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.

RESOLUTION NO. 11179
RESOLUTION APPROVING A COMPREHENSIVE IMPROVEMENT ASSISTANCE
PROGRAM APPLICATION FOR PROJECT ARK 97-1
WHEREAS, the Fayetteville Housing Authority finds it necessary to have certain
needed improvements in Public Housing Project ARK 97-1;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BORARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE HOUSING
AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE that the Executive Director submit a applica-
tion for comprehpnsj»e improvement assistance funds.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS HEREBY CERTIFY THE FOLLOWING:
1. The PHA will comply with all policies, procedures and requirements prescribed
by HUD for the modernization, including implementation of the modernization
in a timely, efficient and economical manner.
2. The estimated costs of the modernization program cannot be funded from
current operating funds.
3. The proposed physical work meets the modernization standards.
4. The PHA has adopted the goal of awarding at least 20 percent of the dollar
value of the total of the modernization contracts, to be awarded during the
subsequent FFY, to minority business enterprises.
5. The PHA has complied with the tenant/homebuyer consultation requirements.
6. The PHA has determined that flood insurance is not required.
7. The PHA will comply (where applicable) with requirements for the physically
handicapped.
8. Where the proposed modernization involves the temporary or permanent re-
housing of tenants, the PHA will ensure nondiscrimination in the selection
of tenants ro be rehoused, determination of which tenants require temporary
and permanent rehousing, assignment of tenants within the PHA and provision
of assistance to tenants being rehoused.
