HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-08-05 - Minutes - ArchiveMINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS The Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas met in Special Session at 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, August Sth, 1980 in the office of the Authority, #1 North School, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Upon Roll Call, the following were present: Commissioners Present: Commissioners Absent: Others Present: Fredia Windham, Endress, Morgan Seaton, Shreve Sawin There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted: RESOLUTION NO. 326 RESOLUTION APPROVING A MODERNIZATION PROGRAM IN AMOUNT OF $73,970 FOR CERTAIN NEEDED IMPROVEMENTS IN PROJECT AR 97-1 Resolution No. 326 was passed and approved by motion of Mrs. Endress, seconded by Mr. Morgan, and carried unanimously. After further discussion, the meeting was. adjourned. THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS ATTEST: Vic • • • RESOLUTION NO. 394 RESOLUTION APPROVING A MODERNIZATION PROGRAM IN AMOUNT OF $73,970 FOR CERTAIN NEEDED IMPROVEMENTS IN PROJECT AR 97-1 WHEREAS, the Fayetteville Housing Authority finds it n ecessary to have certain needed improvements in Public Housing P roject AR 97-1 as follows: (1) Detailed Engineer Analysis of Hillcrest Towers to identify Energy Conservation Measures. (2) Install new windows in Willow Heights & Lewis P laza 80 Family Units. (3) Install glass windows on certain floors of Hillcrest Towers. WHEREAS, it is impossible to do this from current operating funds, and; WHEREAS, the proposed work items are eligible for modernization funding, and; WHEREAS, the requested amount of $73,970 represents the best estimate of modernization costs, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE that the Executive Director submit application to HUD for modernization funds of $73,970 to make the improvements. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Fayetteville Housing Authority: (1) Will comply with all policies, procedures, and ✓ equirements concomitant to such funding. (2) Will use present staff to carry out such funding. (3) Will comply with civil rights statutes, executive o rders, and regulations, as applicable. (4) Certified that the HUD regulations and requirements under the Flood Disaster Protection Act of 1973 are not applicable. • • • PASSED AND APPROVED THIS ATTEST: THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS 1980.
