HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-05-21 - Minutes - Archiver • • • MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS The Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas met in Regular Session at 8:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 21, 1980 in the office of the Authority, #1 North School, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Upon Roll Call, the following were present: Commissioners Present: Windham, Shreve, Seaton Commissioners Absent: Endress, Morgan Others Present: Chad Kumpe, Bromo Wilson, Fredia Sawin, Pat Donat There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted: The Minutes of the April 16, 1980 Regular Meeting were approved, by motion of Mr. Seaton, seconded by Mr. Shreve, and carried unanimously. The Commissioners advised that the Fayetteville Housing Authority resubmit a letter to the Auditor concerning the issue that was discussed• at the Regular Meeting, April 16, 1980. The Minutes of the May 13, 1980 Special Meeting were approved, with appropriate changes, by motion of Mr. Shreve, seconded by Mr. Seaton, and carried unanimously. The April Financial Statement was approved by motion of Mr. Shreve, seconded by Mr. Seaton, and carried unanimously. RESOLUTION 'NO. 322 RESOLUTION MODIFYING PERSONNEL POLICY AS TO TRAVEL ALLOWANCE After discussion, Resolution #322 was passed and approved by motion of Mr. Seaton, seconded by Mr. Shreve, and carried unanimously. Mr. Kumpe mentioned to the Commissioners that things are proceeding as expected if not better with the 52 Conventional Housing Units. We have options on all properties that were approved. And have also looked at some single family dwelling sites. Mr. Kumpe presented to the Board that the Fayetteville Housing Authority would like to purchase an automobile for the Rental Assistance Program which operates in Washington County. The Automobile would be American Made, Front Wheel Drive and Four Speed Manual Transmission with accessories. The three bids include - Hatfield Pontiac $6,584, Ray Chevrolet $6,536.25, and Jones Oldsmobile $6,676. Mr. Seaton stressed that it was important to make a policy that the auto be used strictly for the Section 8 Program. A motion was made by Mr. Shreve that the Fayetteville Housing Authority be able to purchase:the Chevrolet Automobile (Lowest Bid - Ray Chevrolet $6,536.25), seconded by Mr. Seaton, and carried unanimously. • Mr. Windham mentioned to Ms. Pat Donat, Northwest Arkansas Times Reporter, that if possible the Board of Commissioners would like to advertise to the Public about the Conventional Housing Project and let them know we are not trying to overload any particular area. Pat Donat approved of the idea and said she would go along with it. ATTEST: THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTE34ILLE, ARKANSAS CHAIAN • • • WHEREAS, RESOLUTION NO. 322 RESOLUTION MODIFYING PERSONNEL POLICY AS TO TRAVEL ALLOWANCE the Personnel Policy of the Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville sets out certain provisions for travel, and WHEREAS, these allowances need to be updated from time to time because of rising costs NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSIONERS OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, that Section 11, Travel Paragraph D, Item 3 be amended to read: 3. All Authorized Staff Employees who use their private automobile: for agency business shall be reimbursed at a rate of $.18 per mile.
