HomeMy WebLinkAbout1979-09-21 - Minutes - Special• •b MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS The Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas met in Special Session at 5:00 p.m., Friday, September 21, 1979 in the office of the Authority, #1 North School, Fayetteville, ARkansas. Upon roll call, the following were present: Commissioners Present: Taylor, Morgan, Windham, Endress Commissioners Absent: Seaton Others Present: Chad Kumpe, Bromo Wilson, Tom Comley, Fredia Sawin The Chairman ordered that the following Waiver and Consent be spread upon the Minutes: WAIVER OF NOTICE OF AND CONSENT TO SPECIAL MEETING We, the undersigned, do hereby accept notice of this SPECIAL MEETING, waiving any and all irregularities in the service of notice and do hereby consent and agree that the Commissioners of the Housing Authority of Fayetteville, Arkansas shall meet at their regular meeting place at 5:00 p.m., on the 21st of September, 1979 for the following purposes: 1. Roll Call 2. Resolution Approving the Selection of Developer For Low Rent Housing Project Ark 97-2 /s/ Phillip Taylor /s/ Robert Windham /s/ Sherman Morgan /s/ Judy Endress /s/ Lloyd Seaton There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted: Mr. Taylor explained that Mr. Kinsey, our consultant, would not be able to attend this Special Meeting. The flight he was to take from Little Rock was sold out. But Mr. Kinsey will be at his office in Little Rock in case we have a question and we need to call him. RESOLUTION NO. 318 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SELECTION OF DEVELOPER FOR LOW RENT HOUSING PROJECT ARK 97-2 The Board asked Mr. Windham what his thoughts were after he examined the plans that Mr. Kumpe delivered to him. Mr. Windham expressed that he liked the looks of E. R. Coleman's building design and construction. Quote - They don't look like apartments, they look like something I would like to live in, just because a person is low income doesn't mean that they would have to settle for less than I would like to have. • After further discussion, the Board went on a trip to look at the sites. Resolution #318 was approved by motion of Mr. Windham, seconded by Mrs. Endress, and carried unanimously. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned. THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS CHAIRMAN RESOLUTION NO. 318 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SELECTION OF DEVELOPER FOR LOW RENT HOUSING PROJECT ARK 97-2 WHEREAS, The Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville has received proposals for development of a low rent housing project under the Turnkey Development Method; and, WHEREAS, the proposals have been evaluated by the staff and hired consultant in accordance with evaluation factors set out in the invitation for proposals and, WHEREAS, The proposal from P/ j,LDi/1G-Pp`y 1 -r - determined to be the best proposal submitted: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS of the Housing Auth rity of the City of Fayetteville, that said proposal from fi & BarJJ-Viv6 a,o ,-Dec, with the Preliminary Site Report be submitted to D ptrtelent of Housing and development for their concurrence.
