HomeMy WebLinkAbout1979-04-18 - Minutes - ArchiveMINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS The Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas met in Regular Session at 8:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 18, 1979 in the office of the Authority, #1 North School, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Upon Roll Call, the following were present: Commissioners Present: Windham, Morgan, Taylor, Seaton Commissioners Absent: Endress Others Present: Chad Kumpe, Bromo Wilson, Hugh Kincaid, Pat Donat, Peggy Frizzell, Fredia Sawin There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted: The Minutes of the March 21, 1979 Regular Meeting were approved by motion of Mr. Windham, seconded by Mr. Seaton, and carried unanimously. The March Financial Statement was approved by motion of Mr. Seaton, seconded by Mr. Windham, and carried unanimously. RESOLUTION NO. 309 RESOLUTION APPROVING AND PROVIDING FOR THE EXECUTION OF A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS AND THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS This is the Resolution that closes out the Urban Renewal Program. There are three exceptions that have to be met. Chad mentioned, we have two pieces of property that are not actually sold. Also, the Demolition people are bringing in a piece of machinery called a bucket or stinger that will chop down the buildings, they should start Thursday. Bromo mentioned, that we need to have this Resolution to HUD in Dallas by Monday because they are collecting $103 in interest a day from the City. Since the code for Urban Renewal is under Primarily Residential, there has to be 3 units of housing built under the Housing Assistance Program. The City will be receiving $7,866 back from the Fayetteville Housing Authority. Resolution #309 was approved by motion of Mr. Seaton, seconded by Mr. Windham, and carried unanimously. It was mentioned that nine people have signed up for Bid Packets on our 52 units of Turn -key Housing. We will open the packets on May 8th. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned. THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS • RESOLUTION NO. qpq RESOLUTION APPROVING AND PROVIDING FOR THE EXECUTION OF A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS AND THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS BE IT RESOLVED BY THE Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas as follows: Section 1. The pending proposed Memorandum of Agreement by and between the Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville, (herein called the "Local Public Agency"), and City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, is hereby in all respects approved. Section 2. The Chairman is hereby authorized and directed to execute the said Agreement in 5 counterparts on behalf of the Local Public Agency, and the Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to impress and attest the official seal of the Local Public Agency on each such counterpart and to forward such counterparts to the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, for execution and to the Department of Housing and Urban Development, for concurrence on behalf of the United States of America (herein called the "Government"), together with such other documents relative to the approval and execution of such counterparts as may be required by the Government.
