OF REGULAR'MEETING OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS The Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas met in Regular Session at 8:30 o'clock a.m., Wednesday, December 21, 1977, in the office of the Authority, #1 North School Avenue, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Mr. Gould, Acting Chairman, called the meeting to order. Upon roll call, the following were present-: Commissioners Present: Taylor, Endress, Morgan, Gould Commissioners Absent: Underwood Others Present: Chad Kumpe, Bromo Wilson, Toady Edwards, Pat Donat, Donna Whitaker, Hugh Kincaid There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted: The Minutes of the November 16, 1977 Regular Meeting were approved by motion of Mr. Taylor, seconded by Mrs. Endress, and carried unanimously. The November Financial Statement was approved by motion of Mrs. Endress, seconded by Mr. Taylor, and carried unanimously. RESOLUTION NO. 278 RESOLUTION APPROVING INSTALLMENT OF AUTOMATIC OPERATING DOORS FOR HILLCREST TOWERS BUILDING Mr. Kumpe explained that this resolution approves the installation of two sets of automatic doors in Hillcrest Towers One set will lead into the main lobby and the other set will be between the elevator hallway and the main building hallway. Funding for the project includes $2,500 from the Fayetteville Community Development Block Grant and the remainder, an estimated $8,500 from Title V of the Older American's Act. No Housing Authority funds will be used in the project. After discussion, Resolution No. 278 was approved by motion of Mr. Taylor, seconded by Mrs. Endress, and carried unanimously. Commissioner Sherman Morgan's board term expires December 28, 1977. Mr. Gould nominated Mr. Morgan to another five year term. All other commissioners present agreed unanimously. After confirmation by the City Board of Directors, Mr. Morgan's second term will expire December 28, 1982. Mr. Kumpe gave a status report on the Downtown Square. A delay in the renovation of the Old Post Office building has occurred because of changes made in an electrical panel. The panel should arrive after the holidays and the work can resume. Mr. Kumpe also stated that some brick work remains on the Square planters. Trees have been installed on the south side of the Square and planting has started on the east side. There being no le - ATTEST: 6 rt ''1j/H furtherbusiness, the meeting was adjourned. j.�•, THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY FAYETTEVIL AR CHAIRMAN SECRET 1 • • • RESOLUTION NO. &78 RESOLUTION APPROVING INSTALLMENT OF AUTOMATIC OPERATING DOORS FOR HILLCREST TOWERS BUILDING WHEREAS, the Community Adult Center has proposed to seek funding through the Community Development and other sources to install new aluminum and glass doors and frames with electric automatic operators for the north main entrance to lobby and the interior entrance to elevators in the Hillcrest Towers building, Project No. Ark. 97-1; and, WHEREAS the Fayetteville Housing Authority will not be obligated to provide funding for this project in any way; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville to approve the installation of the above described doors in the Hillcrest Towers building.
