Mr. Clinton stated that he felt at the previous meeting that the
Board was torn between the two proposals because both proposals
are very good. The Commissioners discussed the proposals, noting
that Mr. Southerland's proposal hinges upon the sale of some
personal property he now owns. Mr. Southerland also plans to use
the property as rental, with possible resale in the future.
Mr. McEnany plans to use the property as his home. Both proposals
include rehabilitating the house and restoring the house historically.
It was noted that the property has to be brought up to the rehabilitation
standards of the Housing Authority.
After further discussion, Mr. Underwood moved to accept the proposal
presented by Mr. McEnany. The motion was seconded by Mr. Morgan, and
Resolution No. 206 was approved unanimously.
Mr. Clinton requested an Executive Session of the Board. The meeting
was adjourned following the Executive Session.
