Review of Mr. Gregory's offer for old house on West Street d, 550,�,v • • • MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS The Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas met in Special Session at 8:30 o'clock a.m., on Thursday, August 8, 1974, in the office of the Housing Authority, #1 North School Avenue, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Mr. J. W. Gould, Vice -Chairman, called the meeting to order. On roll call the following members were present: Messrs: Commissioners: Gould, Morgan, Clinton, Underwood Absent: Commissioners: Whillock Others: Robert Dugan, Bromo Wilson, Delbert Allen, Hugh Kincaid, Mayor Russell Purdy, Pat Donat There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted. The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 19, 1974, were approved by motion of Mr. Clinton, and seconded by Mor Morgan, and carried unanimously. The Financial Statement of June was approved by motion of Mr. Clinton and seconded by Mr. Underwood, and carried unanimously. RESOLUTION NO. 158 AWARDING DEMOLITION CONTRACT ON PARCELS 17G, 17H, & 171 Mr. Dugan explained which parcels these are and gave the amount of the three lowest bids and the name of the contractor with the lowest bid. There was a short discussion after which Resolution No. 158 was adopted by motion of Mr. Underwood and seconded by Mr. Morgan, and carried unanimously. Mr. Dugan read a letter from James K. Gregory dated July 1, 1974, which stated an offer of $4,000.00 for the marketable title to the following property: Part of Block 21, Original Town (now City) of Fayetteville, Arkansas, as shown upon the recorded plat thereof, more particularly described as beginning at the Northeast corner of said Block and running thence South 90 feet; thence West 169 feet; thence North 90 feet; thence East 169 feet to the point of beginning. • Mr. Gregory proposes to restore, rebuild and repair the building on this property and give to the Noark Girl Scout Council for its use in its Girl Scout Program. The raw land appraisals for this land are now $9,100.00 and $10,500.00. Mr. Dugan stated that if they wish, the Board would need to ask HUD for permission to get reuse appraisals and then establish a price. Mr. Clinton made the motion to proceed to get authorization from HUD as soon as possible to get reuse appraisals for this property. Motion was seconded by Mr. Underwood, and carried unanimously. There being no further business, Mr. Gould adjourned the meeting. ATTEST: 1 C.., ( 1 SECRETARY THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS CHAIRMAN RESOLUTION NO. 158 AWARDING DEMOLITION CONTRACT ON PARCELS 17G, 17H, & 171 WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville has opened bids on July 26, 1974, for the demolition of three structures on parcels # 17G, 17H, and 171, and; WHEREAS, the Coy Blagg Wrecking Co. is the low bidder with a bid of $3,950.00: NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville enter into a contract with the Coy Blagg Wrecking Co. for the demolition of these structures.
