HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARK,
10 HELD ON THE 20th DAY OF MAY, 1970
The Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas
met in regular session Wednesday, May 20, 1970 at 10:00 A.M. in
the Director's Room of the Administration Building.
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman and on roll
call the following members were present:
MESSRS: Douglas - Shelton - Whillock - Gould
ABSENT: Baxter
OTHERS: Warren Segraves - Ernest Jacks - Hugh Kincaid -
Ora Belle Rollow
The minutes of April 15 and 30, 1970 were approved by a
motion by Mr. Shelton, seconded by Mr. Douglas and carried un-
animously.
The financial report was approved by motion of Mr. Douglas,
seconded by Mr. Shelton and carried unanimously.
The Chairman presented the question of the qualifications
• of a subcontractor, Montgomery Elevator Company, submitted for
approval by Brennan -Boyd Const. Co., for installation of the
elevator in the Highrise Building on site "J". Ernest Jacks
commented that Montgomery Elevator Company had asked the
Architect's opinion as to their eligibility to bid on the Project.
According to the Specifications they were very doubtful that this
Company could meet the requirements for service within the time
specified, since their nearest competent service representative
was in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
After full consideration it was decided that Montgomery
Elevator Company as subcontractor be rejected when the Request
for Approval was submitted by Brennan -Boyd Construction Company
and that the contractor be requested to submit another proposal
which would adequately meet the service specified in the
Specifications.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.
