HomeMy WebLinkAbout1969-10-13 - Minutes - Archive0 WAIVER OF NOTICE OF AND CONSENT TO SPECIAL MEETING We, the undersigned, do hereby accept notice of this SPECIAL meeting, waiving any and all irregularities in the service of notice and do hereby consent and agree that the Commissioners of the Housing Authority of Fayetteville, Arkansas shall meet at their regular meeting place at 10:00 o'clock a.m on the 13 th day of October, 1969 for the following purposes: Selecting a Planning Firm to prepare a Survey & . Planninq Application for,Urban Renewal treatment for the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas 40 MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS The Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas met in the Administration Building of the City at 1.0:00 a.m. Monday, October:- 13, 1969. Present: Commissioners: Whillock - Baxter - Shelton - Gould Absent: Commissioner Douglas Others present: Dr. Garland Melton, Albert Jones, Ora Belle Rollow. The purpose of this meeting was to summarize the the results of the recent interviews and presentations of representatives of the following planning firms: Carter -Burgess, Engineers -Planners , Fort Worth, Texas R.W.Booker and Associates, Inc, St, Louis, Missouri Urban Programming Corporation, St. Louis, Missouri After the discussion of the merits of thses firms it was voted AD by motion of Mr. Baxter, Seconded by Mr. Shelton to enter into a joint contract with the City of Fayetteville, Housing Authority and Urban Programming Corporation to prepare a Survey and Plann- ing Application within 90 days from date of notice to proceed at a fixed fee of $2,000, such fee to be provided by the City of Fayeeetville. The Executive Director was directed to take whatever action was necessary in conjunction with the City to get the planners on the job immediately and to report back to the Authority at its regular meeting October 15, 1969.
