The financial statement was approved by motion of Mr Gould, seconded by Mr. Douglas and motion carried unanimously. Hugh Kincaid reported that land acquisition was held up pending receipt of abstracts on Coulter and Southern Memorial Assn.and on release of mortgages on school property. The chairman stated that the board was not ready to take action on the personnel policy and it was deferred until next meeting. At the request of the Executive Director the Commissioners considered the possibility and feasibility of retaining and re- modeling the Lincoln school on site"B" to f.house a central office, maintenance shop for the Authority's use and provide community services space for a day care center, adequate facilities for homemaking and recreation and other services for the community. It was first estimated that, for the cost of the space allowable under the present development program, this building, which would afford twice the space, could be rehabilited for the same amount. After lengthy discussion and on the advice of the architects it appeared doubtful that this:could be done for the money available, plus the fact that it would still be an old building. Gerald Fox,City Manager, recommended that the Authority consider joint financing with the city and apply for assistance through the Neighborhood Facilities Section of URA. Mr. Douglas moved that the Authority accept this recommendation and to-gether with the city explore the necessary action to be taken. Seconded by Mr. Shelton and motion carried unanimously. There being no further business the meeting adjourned by motion of Mr. Douglas, seconded by Mr. Gould and motion carried. 0 ATTEST:
