MINUTES OF
AUTHORITY OF THE
MEETINIG OF THE HOUSING
CITY OF FA.YETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS
MAY 15, 1968
The Housing Authority of the City foFayetteville, Arkansas met
at 10:00 a.m, May 15, 1968 in the Director's Room, City Adminis-
tration Building, Fayetteville.
Members Present: Carl Whillock, Hal Douglas, J.W.Gould
Members Absent: L.L.Baxter, Ellis Shelton
Others Present: Hugh Kincaid,Gerald Fox, James Vizzier,Ora Belle Rollow.
The minutes of the meetings on 4/18/68 and 5/8/68 were approved as
distributed by motion of Mr. Gould, seconded by Mr. Douglas and vote
recorded:
Ayes: Douglas, Whillock, Gould
Nayes: None
Motion carried unanimously
The financial report was approved by motion of Mr. Gould, seconded
by Mr. Douglas and motion was carried unanimously.
Resolution No.21, approving amendment of Appraisal Contract with
J.W.Sullivan was read, discussed and approved by motion of Mr Gould
seconded by Mr. Douglas and vote recorded:
Ayes: Douglas,
Nayes: None

Mr. Fox, City Manager, presented a proposal that the Housing Authority
join the city and five other agencies in contracting with the Census '
Bureau for Block Statistics from the 1970 Census. Each participating .
agency to contribute $200 to be paid in 1969. Mr. Gould moved that the
Housing Authority participate in the amount of $200. Seconded by
Mr. Douglas and the vote recorded:
Ayes: Douglas, Gould, Whillock
Nayes: None
Motion carried unanimously
Mr. Douglas moved that the Executive Director represent the Authority
at the Arkansas Council of Housing Authorities meeting in Hot Springs
May 23 -24th and the Regional conference of NAHRO meeting in Oklahoma
City June 9-10-11-12o and that one commissioner be designated to go
to Oklahoma City meeting. Seconded by Mr. Gould and the vote recorded.

Nayes: None
Motion carried unanimously
Mr. Douglas moved that membership dues of $20.00 be paid to the
Arkansas Council of Housing Authorities. Mr, Gould seconded and
the vote recorded:
Ayes: Gould,Douglas,Whillock
Nayes: None
Motion Carried unanimously,
There being nofurther business the meeting was adjourned,

RESOLUTION NO, 21
RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT OF APPRAISAL CONTRACT BETWEEN JAMES
R. SULLIVAN AND THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, on the 20th day of September 1967, the Housing
Authority of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas did accept a pro-
posal made by and did enter into a contract with James R. Sullivan
to furnish appraisal services with respect to parcels of land within
a prescribed area designated as Sites "A", "B", "G" and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Housing Authority that
site "G" could not be acquired; would be abandoned, and would be
replaced by alternate site "J", and
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority desires to amend the contract
between James R. Sullivan and the Authority to include appraisal
services for Site "J",
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF
THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That paragraph 1, "Scope of Services", of the
appraisal contract be amended by adding the following described
tract of land thereto:
Site J
All of Block 20 of the Original Plat of the City
of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
SECTION 2. That paragraph 4, "Compensation", of the apprai-
sal contract be amended by adding thereto sub -paragraph "C" as
follows:
C. The compensation for making an appraisal of Site
"J", including all expenses and disbursements in
connection with performing the above described ser-
vices, shall be $100.00.
SECTION 3. That all other provisions of the appraisal contract
shall remain the same, and the Chairman and Secretary of the Housing
Authority are hereby authorized and directed to execute in behalf
of the Housing Authority the "First Addendum" to said contract, a
copy of which is annexed to this resolution, containing the amend-
ments authorized by this resolution.

• The appraisal contract of September 20, 1967 by and between
the Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas and
The Sullivan Agency (James R. Sullivan), is hereby amended as
follows:
1. Paragraph 1, "Scope of Services" of said appraisal
contract shall be amended by adding the following described tract
of land thereto:
Site J
All of Block 20 of the Original Plat of the City
of Fayetteville, Arkansas
2. Paragraph 4, "Compensation", of said appraisal contract
shall be amended by adding thereto sub -paragraph "c" as follows:
C, The compensation for making an appraisal of Site
"J", including all expenses and disbursements in
connection with performing the above described ser-
vices, shall be $100.00.
3. All other provisions of said appraisal contract shall
remain the same.
