MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS
JANUARY 17, 1968
The regular meeting of the Housing Authority of Fayetteville,
Arkansas, was held at 10:00 A.71,Wednesday, January 17, 1968
in the Director's Room, City Administration Building, Fayetteville.
Members Present: Ellis Shelton, Hal Douglas, J,W,Gould
Carl Whillock
Members Absent: L.L.Baxter
Others Present: Ora Belle Rollow, James Vizzier, Hugh Kincaid
Haskell Utley
In the absence of Mr. Baxter, Chairman, Mr, Shelton, Vice Chairman
conducted the meeting. _
Minutes of the December 20th meeting were approved by motion of
Mr. Douglas, seconded by Mr. Whillock and motion carried.
Financial report was accepted by motion of Mr, Gould, seconded
• by Mr. Douglas and motion carried,
Mr. Utley, negotiator for the Authority was asked to discuss the
difficulties of securing options for land, After a lengthy
discussion of the problem Mr. Douglas made a motion that the
Attorney, Mr. Kincaid be authorized to file suit for possession of
all land in Site "G" for which Mr, Utley had not been able to secure
options by February 20, 1968. Mr, Whillock seconded the motion
and the following vote was recorded:
Yeas: Shelton, Whillock, Douglas, Gould
Nays; None. The motion was carried.
Mr. Vizzier gave a detailed presentation of the presff4dt status of
Urban Renewal Application which should be forwarded to the Regional
Office of HUD soon, He also reported that the Workable Program for
Fayetteville was in Washington awaiting approval for re -certification.
There was no further business and the meeting was adjourned.
